The much awaited Tokyo Marui AA-12 Automatic Electric Shotgun (AES) is now set for release on the 15th of January. As far as we know, there is already a backlog of orders that the first batch will be snapped up pretty quick when it gets released. If you know of an airsoft retailer that is taking pre-orders and can ship outside of Japan upon release, then you might want to place your order now before their allocation gets full. Price is JPY54,800 or around US$462 but price may vary depending on customs duties and shipping costs.

Military.com's Kit Up! Blog has this article on MREs as the U.S. Army is recruiting volunteers to eat MREs for 21 straight days as part of research... "The Army is recruiting volunteers for a stomach-churning challenge: Eat nothing but meals-ready-to-eat for 21 straight days. For those brave enough to volunteer, military fitness expert Stew Smith has two tips: Stay active and stay hydrated.

The service announced its experiment in a Dec. 11 release. To study gut health and how bacteria in the stomach are affected by the military meals, the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine’s military nutrition division is recruiting volunteers to go on the all-MRE diet for three consecutive weeks."
