RWA M1919 AEG Pre-Order At RedWolf
The RWA M1919 AEG is now on pre-order at RedWolf Airsoft. They are expecting its arrival on the 1st of December 2015... "RWA is proud to announce the release of this long-awaited replica, the M1919 Browning Machine Gun AEG. RWA partnered with Viva Arms to produce this beautifully finished replica. It includes a 5000 round box magazine complete with simulated bullet belt feeding and rattlings system.
The real steel M919 Browning is a medium machine gun firing .30 caliber (30-06) ball cartridge contained in a woven cloth belt, feeding from left to right. It was widely used during the 20th century, especially during WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. The M1919 saw service as a lightweight, low-slung, tripod-mounted gun for infantry use. Fixed vehicle mounts were also employed, especially on jeeps, armored personnel carriers, tanks, and amphibious vehicles. Later variants went on to be used as both a fixed (offensive) and flexible (defensive) weapon on aircraft.
The M1919 comes packaged in two separate boxes, with the main gun housed in one box. The second box contains the tripod, made of the same steel material as the rest of the M1919. You will need to put it together yourself. Don't worry, it comes with a manual covering every point when it comes to assembly and operation.
It is far from lightweight: the total weight is 15.6 kilograms when fully assembled. The body itself is well balanced in the centre and sits comfortably in the centre of the tripod. The steel construction and heft of the gun make maneuvering it very realistic.
Unlike the real M1919, this replica does not feed from above, but instead, from the side. The BB feeding tube slots into a hole that feeds into the chamber from the 5000 round box magazine, nearly 2 bags of BBs, which will take a while to empty. This features give the fun true milsim and skirmish capabilities.
Considering that the M1919 is a suppressing fire machine gun, the RWA replica is faithful to the original. Its primary function is to lay suppressive fire effectively and quickly. The higher rate of fire and the ability to hit a target reliably from a distance is a key factor when going up against other replicas of similar caliber. High muzzle velocity doesn't equal greater distance traveled by the BB, as the combination of a well polished, 500mm long, 6.08mm diameter inner barrel and quality hop up, well sealed against the new CNC high grade aluminium gearbox, make for an accurate, suppressive fire machine gun. Quality internals allow the user to hold the trigger down for a long period of time without worrying about shredding of gears and overheating of the motor. Using the correct weight BBs (RWA BBs recommended) you will be able to reach distances of 50 meters with ease and demolish any large group of the opposing team.
When it comes to functionality, the M1919 is not complicated. Putting it together only takes a few steps and connecting all the cables is very easy. The replica comes with 2 batteries; one RWA 7.4V Lipo battery for the AEG and a 7.4V PEQ battery for the magazine. The red button in the box magazine will feed the BBs into the chamber and will not overflow. The battery for the AEG is held in place under the receiver as the connector is fed from underneath the gearbox. Another blue cable found underneath connects to the blue cable from the magazine and will automatically feed the BBs as you pull the trigger. Adjusting the hop-up is simple and only needs a hex key to turn a screw found above the feeding tube so you can shoot and adjust at the same time without having to open the gun. The box magazine is designed to be placed on the ground next to the M1919, just like the real thing. It is not designed to latch onto the receiver.
Want the dummy bullets to shake and rattle as you fire the gun? All you need to do is flick the switch found behind the motor inside the receiver. This only adds to the fantasy of having a belt fed machine gun; but if this feature bothers you, you can turn it off. You won't need to oil the gun as often as you think since a worn down M1919 will only add to its authenticity.
The RWA M1919 AEG is a welcome addition to any war reenactment team, or simply to add an impressive element to any airsoft game play.

EEA: Halt The EU Attack On Airsoft!
It's really urgent the airsoft players, airsoft communities, and airsoft associations all over the European Union start moving to give their feedback/opposition on the proposal of the European Commission to reclassify replicas, airsoft guns included, as Category C weapons requiring owners to register their airsoft guns or face penalties.
Things are moving fast in the European Commission to get the proposed changes approved due to the Paris terrorist attacks last 13 November and this means that whole EU airsoft community should move faster. Matthew Furey-King, the President of the European Airsoft Assocation as well as Chairman of UKAPU explains why European airsoft players should be concerned and that they should act quickly:
"For many years The European Airsoft Association has been concerned that a European directive could damage or even ban airsoft. Once implemented, all EU member states are obliged to put regulations into local law. At that point it’s too late, you cannot stop it in your own country. Unless we act, this exact scenario could happen very soon.
An anti-firearms group within the EC has published a proposal which primarily aims to get rid of all semi auto live firearms and most deactivated firearms. They are playing on people fears after the horrible terrorist attacks of the last year, but this is a cynical excuse for them to pursue a pre-existing agenda. The terrorist attacks have been carried out with illegally held weapons that have mostly come from military armouries via armed conflicts in the Balkans. These events are not connected to civilian firearms or to replica firearms either.
Although they present no argument against the current status of non-convertible replica weapons in the paper they throw in this subtle, yet devastating change to the classification of replicas-
(iii) In Category C, the following points are added: "5. Alarm and signal weapons, salute and acoustic weapons as well as replicas
This would mean that all replicas in Europe would become ‘firearms subject to declaration’. This would mean the following changes (subject to local laws);
- All replicas would need to be registered
- You would need to apply for permission to own a replica and would likely be subject to checks and licencing
- All replicas would be allocated a serial number
- You would require a European firearms pass to take replicas to a foreign country
- Internet sales would be banned (as the proposal also puts forward a ban on remote sales for all firearms).
We believe this change will be impractical, extremely hard (probably impossible) and expensive to implement, take resources and focus away from criminals and terrorism, will ruin a thriving airsoft retail industry and will not make citizens safer at all. As you may be aware, a worrying historic occurrence in some European countries has been forcing the register of firearms as a precursor to a ban and confiscation.
Here’s what you can do to prevent this-
- Share this news story. Get the word out to your airsoft friends and contacts. Translate it into your native language. Use the hashtag #airsoftineurope
- Fill out the feedback form for the proposal. https://ec.europa.eu/transparency/regdoc/?fuseaction=feedback&docId=3085376
- Email your MEP. Tell them why they need to vote against this proposal!
- Email a member of SEDE (EU Subcommittee on Security and Defence) http://www.europarl.europa.eu/committees/en/sede/members.html?action=0
Please stick to these rules
- BE NICE! We want to win them over to our point of view, not make them see us as angry, unpleasant or single minded! Most MEPs won’t even be aware of the change affecting replicas, or the consequences of the change.
- STICK TO THE POINT. Tell them that non-convertible replicas should not be classified as firearms by being added to Category C of directive 91/477/EEC
- TALK ABOUT YOU. Tell them about how the changes will hurt you and your friends, your industry, your hobby. Talk from a personal perspective.
FEED BACK THE RESPONSES. Forward all responses you get to me, furey_x (at) yahoo.co.uk . We need to know how MEPs feel about this paper. I am building a database of the airsoft allies and supporters.
This amendment is being fast tracked (they are even going to skip the normal Economic impact assessment) and could be voted through in a very short space of time, so you need to act as soon as you read this (if you haven’t already).
Airsoft players should also stand with their cousins in the live firearms and deactivated firearms communities, they will also have their hobbies destroyed when none of us have any connection to recent events. Together with them, it is possible to act as a huge grass roots body and put down this ridiculous proposal. The EAA will also be lobbying the EC directly so like our FB page and we will keep you up to date with any new information.
